APC Unveils Sub-Committees to Boost Ondo Governorship Election Campaigns

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set its sights on victory in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election on November 16, with the formation of various sub-committees to lead the party’s campaign efforts. National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and the National Working Committee have worked together to establish these committees, with key figures at the helm.

A notable figure in Nigerian politics, Bisi Akande, the former Governor of Osun State, has been appointed to chair the Elders Committee, with Pius Akinyelure, a past Ondo governorship aspirant, serving as his deputy.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has taken on the role of leading the Finance Committee, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio by his side as his deputy.

Meanwhile, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni will chair the Media and Publicity Committee, with the Minister of Information, Idris Mohammed, providing backup as his deputy.

In addition, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has been tasked with leading the Security Committee, with Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya as his trusty sidekick.

A statement from the APC emphasizes that the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the National Working Committee, have carefully selected these individuals to spearhead the party’s efforts in the upcoming elections.

A formal inauguration ceremony for the Ondo State Gubernatorial National Campaign Council is scheduled for October 28 at the International Event Centre (The Dome) in Akure, Ondo State. This event marks the start of the council’s important work in guiding the APC’s campaign strategy.

It’s worth noting that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been appointed Chairman of the National Campaign Council, leading a 305-member team. He will be supported by a team of high-profile individuals, including former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, as well as Governors Hope Uzodinma, Nasir Idris, Dapo Abiodun, and George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
