Skales Slams Wizkid, Reveals He Never Gave Him Any Support
In a recent post, Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, made a bold statement about his former record label mate, Wizkid. According to Skales, Wizkid never provided any assistance to him in his career.
However, Skales did acknowledge that other industry heavyweights, such as Olamide, Timaya, and Banky W, have been instrumental in his success. He also gave a shoutout to Burna Boy for his support.
In a social media post, Skales said: “Let’s give respect where it’s due. I’ve worked hard in this industry, and I’ve had support from a few like Olamide, Timaya, and Banky W. Much respect to Burna, as well. You all love to see artists against each other, but I’m setting the record straight.”
Skales added that he wants to focus on his music, not the negative drama, and encouraged fans to focus on their favorite artists rather than spreading false rumors.
However, not everyone agreed with Skales’ assessment. A commenter remarked that Wizkid was responsible for Skales’ success, writing: “Wizkid made you.”
Skales was quick to respond, stating that he has respect for Wizkid but that he never received any help from him. He maintained that Banky W and other artists had played a significant role in his career.
Skales and Wizkid were once part of the same record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), alongside other popular artists. They both left the label after achieving significant success.
It appears that the drama between the two artists may not be over just yet.
