Dino Melaye Threatens to Sell His Tesla Over Elon Musk’s Criticism of Kamala Harris
Data-driven news outlet Naijawebinfo reports that Dino Melaye, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, has blasted Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, for his relentless criticism of Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for the upcoming November 5 presidential election.
Musk, a well-known supporter of Republican candidate Donald Trump, has been leveling harsh blows at Harris in the online sphere. In a recent public statement, he made a distasteful joke about someone attempting to assassinate Harris, implying that no one bothered to try and kill her, unlike her opponent, Trump.
In a show of support for Trump, Musk has made significant contributions to the Republican party’s presidential election campaign. According to reports, he donated $119 million between July and September to America PAC, a group focused on winning hotly contested swing states, including Pennsylvania. By the end of October, Musk had transferred a whopping $43.6 million to the PAC.
Melye has taken offense to Musk’s actions, stating that he would not only sell his own Tesla but also urge his friends to do the same if Musk stops harassing Harris. In a social media post, he wrote, “I will sell my Tesla and advise my friends to do the same if Elon Musk does not stop harassing Kamala. America should not lose her pride as the global democratic police.” Melye is imploring Musk to desist from his actions and let the political process run its course without interference.
