Skit creator Nasty Blaq calls out the disrespect towards Afrobeats star Davido
Nasty Blaq, a popular skit maker, is speaking out against the blatant disregard towards Davido, a renowned Afrobeats artist. He laments that the game-changer is receiving an overwhelming amount of disrespect, which he believes stems from people taking advantage of his kind nature.
In a recent social media post, Blaq expressed his concerns, stating, “Davido is getting way too much disrespect. All he wants to do is help people, and that’s it.” He suggests that people are exploiting the singer’s goodwill, leading to his constant disreputable treatment.
This outburst comes on the heels of a controversy involving content creator Korty EO, who claimed that Davido’s team initially gave her permission to shoot an interview with the singer, only to later demand she not post the video without providing any clear reasons. Korty shared her experience, saying, “They agreed to re-edit the video and then told me I couldn’t post it for reasons I still don’t understand. I’m not afraid of anyone, but I’m wise enough to stay out of battles I’m not equipped to fight. If you don’t want people to see the real you, then don’t come on my show. Stop wasting my time.”
Another artist, Seun Kuti, also shared a unique perspective on his colleague, revealing an astounding story of how Davido once visited the African Shrine, which was owned by Kuti’s family, with 100 friends, and enjoyed free beers without paying. However, when Kuti’s wedding came around, Davido failed to invite him, leaving him feeling frustrated and sleepless for a week. Kuti explains, “Davido would come to the African Shrine with 100 guys, and he would drink without paying, but when it was time for my wedding, I didn’t get an invite. I was pained; I didn’t sleep for one week.”
