NSCDC Spokesperson Attacked by Armed Thugs in Minna
A chilling incident has shaken the streets of Minna, the capital city of Niger State, as the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), DSC Ibrahim Rabiu Muti, was brutally attacked by a group of suspected criminals.
According to reports, the spokesperson was traveling in a tricycle through the Gbeganu area of Minna when he was ambushed by the hoodlums, who emerged from a nearby bush, posing as passengers, at around 8 PM on a Friday evening.
Describing the harrowing experience, DSC Muti revealed that the attackers, estimated to be around nine in number, stabbed him twice in the abdomen and made off with his phone and other valuables). The perpetrators were reportedly armed with knives, cutlasses, daggers, and sticks.
Muti recalled that his uniform trousers may have saved his life, as one of the attackers noticed his identity and abandoned him after discovering he was a security officer. “I was the only one left on the tricycle with the motorcycle rider, and it was my uniform trousers that gave me away,” he shared.
