Falz Opens Up About Defamation Suit Against Very Dark Man
Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, recently sat down with media personality Adesope to discuss his ongoing defamation lawsuit against Very Dark Man (VDM). In the interview, Falz shared his thoughts on the entire ordeal and the steps he plans to take to clear his name.
Falz explained that he felt a deep sense of frustration and sadness when he saw the allegations made against him and his father, Femi Falana. The music artist emphasized that he doesn’t have any connection with crossdresser Bobrisky, despite the recent video released by VDM.
The rapper explained, “When I saw the video, I was taken aback because it was filled with direct statements, insinuations, and innuendos. There was no evidence to back up these claims, just pure speculation and hearsay.”
Falz went on to discuss how he has been in communication with the host of the video, VDM, through his legal counsel, who has twice written to VDM to confirm the claims made. In both instances, VDM admitted that no payment was made to him or his father.
The rapper concluded, “So, the case of defamation is still ongoing in court. I will seek damages, as this is the only remedy available in a civil suit.”
Falz also addressed the narrative that he and his family are trying to silence VDM, stating, “I don’t look for trouble. I am always on my own. You set up your camera and began to say all these things about me, and you expect me to sit down? No, I will not stand for it.”
The rapper remains resolute in his pursuit of justice, refusing to let the incident pass without standing up for his name and reputation.
