The Tragic Death of Chikwado Eze: A Cautionary Tale of Ritual Gone Wrong
In Enugu State, Nigeria, a chilling incident has unfolded, resulting in the loss of a young life. Chikwado Eze, a 26-year-old from Ugbaike community, was found dead after undergoing a treacherous “ritual” meant to ensure success in his planned journey abroad.
The disturbing event occurred when a 48-year-old traditional medicine practitioner, Enuwa Odugu, performed a ritual that involved burying Eze alive for an hour and a half. Unfortunately, Eze did not survive the ordeal, his life cut short in the pursuit of “protection”.
Naijawebinfo has learned that the police have arrested Odugu and Eze’s father, Uwakwe Eze, 67, for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy and murder of the young man. According to the police, Odugu has admitted to performing similar rituals in the past and has acknowledged that Eze’s death occurred due to his failure to follow strict ritual instructions.
The Enugu State Police Command has issued a statement confirming the arrest of the two suspects, with the police report stating, “We have arrested a 48-year-old traditional medicine practitioner, Enuwa Odugu, and a 67-year-old man, Uwakwe Eze, for conspiracy and the murder of 26-year-old Chikwado Celestine Eze.” The investigation goes on to reveal that Eze’s father, Uwakwe, took his son to Odugu’s shrine for a ritual meant to “fortify” him with charms, but the ritual ultimately proved deadly.
Autopsy and other forensic procedures are underway, and the suspects will face prosecution once the investigation is concluded. This tragic case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of misinformation and the importance of seeking help from authorized medical professionals in times of need.
