Tragedy Strikes in Bosanska Krupa as 14-Year-Old Attacks Police Station, Killing One Officer and Injuring Another
In a shocking turn of events, a 14-year-old boy broke into a police station in Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia, and carried out a violent attack that left one police officer dead and another critically injured, according to government officials.
The incident occurred in the town of Bosanska Krupa, situated approximately 186 miles northwest of Sarajevo, Bosnian Interior Minister Ramo Isak confirmed.
The injured officer is currently fighting for his life, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear, but what is evident is the gravity of the situation, as regional police chief Adnan Habibija expressed in a statement: “This is a very sad scenario, and what’s surprising is that it involves a 14-year-old who dared to attack officers in a police station. It’s a wake-up call for our society.”
The town’s mayor, Armin Halitovic, echoed these sentiments, describing the community of 11,000 residents as peaceful and tolerant, but acknowledging the shockwaves the attack has sent through the area.
As a result, authorities have increased security measures in the region to ensure public safety and prevent similar incidents.
