Wilfred Ndidi Treats Flying Eagles to a Golden Reward for Their WAFU B Championship Success
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has made a kind gesture by presenting the Flying Eagles, Nigeria’s Under-20 national football team, with a generous reward of 5 million naira for their outstanding performance in the WAFU B Under-20 Championship.
This impressive win over Cote d’Ivoire not only demonstrated the team’s remarkable skill and perseverance but also secured their spot in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament. The triumph is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the young Nigerian players, led by head coach Aliyu Zubairu.
In addition to Ndidi’s thoughtful donation, the team has also received significant financial support from Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who contributed 2 million naira in recognition of their incredible performance against the Ivorians.
Next up, the Flying Eagles will face the Niger Republic in a highly anticipated semi-final match, with the aim of advancing to the championship final and securing qualification for the 2025 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations in South Africa.
A win against Niger would not only propel the Flying Eagles into the finals but also guarantee their participation in the 2025 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations.
