Governor Ganduje cautions against scrutinizing Edo Governor’s governance record

Why You Should Not Probe Obaseki’s Administration – Ganduje To Okpebholo

APC Chairman Urges Edo’s New Governor to Focus on Progress, Not Probes

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently met with incoming Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and offered some valuable advice.

Ganduje, who hosted Okpebholo at the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) office, stressed the importance of prioritizing good governance over investigations into the previous administration.

“Instead of dwelling on the past, focus on what’s ahead,” Ganduje said. “A progressive government like ours doesn’t dwell on past mistakes. We must move forward and not waste our time rehashing old controversies.”

In his guidance, Ganduje also emphasized the need for Okpebholo to adhere to the party’s manifesto, focusing on social and economic progress, and building bridges with key stakeholders.

“Make sure to follow the manifesto to the letter, and be an action governor,” Ganduje urged, referencing Okpebholo’s energetic campaign style.

Ganduje also promised APC’s support for implementing Okpebholo’s campaign promises and ensuring that party offices at all levels remain functional.

The APC recently established a “progressive institute” to provide training and intellectual support for local government leaders and shape political agendas aligned with the needs of Nigerians.

Okpebholo credited Ganduje’s visit to Edo just before the election as instrumental to the APC’s success, and thanked President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in maintaining peace during and after the poll.

Okpebholo also praised the peaceful election day, where no fatalities were reported, highlighting the public’s optimism for a “new dawn” under APC leadership.

The Obaseki administration is set to hand over to Okpebholo on November 12.
