  • Nigerian singer-songwriter Joeboy has announced Kvng Vidarr as the first artist to join his record label, Young Legend.

Joeboy, whose real name is Joseph Akinwale, has announced Kvng Vidarr as the first artist to join his record label, Young Legend. The young singer-songwriter from Edo State, Ikorodu, Lagos, is set to release his first EP under the label.

On his Instagram page, Joeboy wrote, “Super excited to announce our first talent under Young Legend! Welcome to the family, @kvngvidarr. His EP drops this Friday – show him some love!”

The new signing, Momoh Oshiotseameh Luke, has a unique sound that blends Afrobeats with contemporary styles. Joeboy’s announcement comes after he left emPawa Africa and founded his own record label, Young Legend.

In February, Joeboy released ‘Young Legend’, followed by a documentary about his life and career. He also signed a global distribution deal with Warner Music, ensuring a wider reach for his music.

With his recent achievements, Joeboy has earned several awards and accolades, including the ‘Best Artiste in African Pop’ at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in 2019 and the ‘Best Pop’ title at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2020. His latest project, a 5-track EP titled ‘Body, Soul & Spirit’, was released in November 2023.

Joeboy’s journey in the music industry began when he met Wizkid, a celebrated music star, who inspired him to pursue his dream. He has announced plans to release an album this year, further cementing his position in the music scene.
