Nigerian music sensation, Kcee, has shared a heartwarming story about how he met his wife, Ijeoma Okonkwo, in a candid interview with VJ Adams.
It all began when Kcee was distributing wedding cards for his younger brother and business partner, Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money. During this chance encounter, Kcee was immediately smitten with Ijeoma and knew she was the one for him.
“I met my wife when I went to give Charly Boy E-Money’s wedding invitation. Immediately, I saw her, I said, ‘I want to marry this girl.’ I told Presh, ‘That’s my wife,'” he recalled, recalling the moment that changed his life.
Despite his instant attraction, Ijeoma was initially unaware of Kcee’s true identity, and he had to introduce himself and ask for her number. She only eventually gave in after being convinced by a colleague who vouched for his celebrity status.
The couple’s whirlwind romance didn’t last long, as Kcee made it clear he wanted a marriage, not a casual relationship. He believes that focusing on finding happiness together can solve many relationship problems: “Sometimes, we make a lot of mistakes. Some people date their husband or their wife and start looking for faults and you undo your husband or your wife looking for something else that you don’t know. So, look for what makes happy instead.”
Fast forward to 2010, Kcee and Ijeoma tied the knot, and they’re now proud parents of two children. Their love story is a testament to the power of love at first sight and the importance of prioritizing happiness in relationships.
