Nigeria’s 36 State Governors Unite to Address Nation’s Challenges

A conclave of Nigeria’s 36 state governors, led by the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), has acknowledged the economic woes facing the country, sympathizing with citizens struggling to make ends meet. The governors, who met in Abuja, recognized that the nation is currently facing a period of hardship, with many people going hungry.

Despite this bleak situation, the governors expressed their faith in the reforms being implemented by President Bola Tinubu, which they believe will bring about positive change and relief to the masses. Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, spoke with journalists, conveying the sentiments of the governors:

”We understand the challenges our people are facing, and we stand in solidarity with them. We’re committed to supporting them in these difficult times. We also appreciate the efforts being made by the President to drive reforms and improvements.”

The governors also received a briefing from the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) on new strategies to combat insecurity, including kidnapping, banditry, and other forms of violence. The governors pledged their full support to the DSS in its efforts to ensure Nigeria’s security and stability.

The meeting, which lasted from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning, brought together governors from across the country to address the nation’s pressing challenges and explore ways to alleviate the suffering of the people. With their collective prayers for relief, the governors hope to see tangible benefits from the reforms and a better tomorrow for Nigeria.
