PDP Laments Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi’s Defection to APC
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has expressed deep disappointment and frustration following the recent defection of Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The move is seen as a shockingly sudden and shocking betrayal, not only to the party but also to the people of Gummi/Bukkuyum who had entrusted him with their trust.
According to the party’s spokesperson, Andi Haliru, who addressed the media in Gusau, Gummi’s decision to leave the PDP Without prior internal conflict is a clear indication of his lack of loyalty and commitment to the party’s principles and values.
The PDP has now announced its intention to take legal action to challenge Gummi’s defection and to reclaim the mandate given to him by the people of Gummi/Bukkuyum. The party believes that Gummi’s actions undermine the democratic process and the trust placed in him by the people.
“We are extremely disheartened by his lack of commitment to our values and principles. This breach of trust is unacceptable and we will not let it go unchallenged,” said Andi Haliru. “We will fight to reclaim the mandate given to him by the people of Gummi/Bukkuyum and ensure that their trust is not compromised.”
The party has reassured the good people of Gummi and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas that it remains strong and united, and its commitment to serving the people and upholding their interests will not waver. “We will vigorously defend the trust and interests of the people, and work tirelessly to restore the faith that has been lost,” the party stated.
