Bobrisky Released from Detention After Inciting Incident with Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
Rumors surrounding the controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, have been swirling after his recent run-in with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). Following a tense encounter, Bobrisky was detained for several days.
It has been reported that the crossdresser’s ordeal began when he attempted to flee the country through the Seme Border. This development comes as a surprise, given the ongoing investigation into allegations that he bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during his recent stint in jail for naira abuse.
In the wake of his release, Bobrisky took to social media to share a new photo and a powerful message on October 29, 2024. In his post, he emphasized the importance of feminine strength.
In the Instagram post, Bobrisky underlined the notion that strong women do not seek sympathy but instead maintain their composure under duress.
“Only the strongest women rise above the fray. They don’t rely on pity; they don’t beg for favors and don’t shift the blame. They stand tall and take control.”
It remains to be seen whether Bobrisky will face fresh criminal charges. The allegations suggest that he served his prison term in a private apartment and bribed EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges against him.
As a reminder, on April 12, 2024, Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse. He was released from custody on August 5, 2024.
