Rap star Megan Thee Stallion is opening up about her past relationship with Tory Lanez in a new documentary, “Megan: In Her Words.” The film, directed by Nneka Onuorah, offers an intimate look into Megan’s life, including her experiences with Lanez.
In the documentary, Megan reveals that she had a sexual relationship with Lanez, but had initially denied it in a previous interview with Gayle King. She now admits that she had a few intimate encounters with him, saying it happened while they were drinking.
In a candid moment, Megan shares, “I lied to Gayle King, b*tch, she was always gonna talk about the shooting, why’d you tryna ask me if I’m f*cking Tory, even if I was I f*cked a n*gga like once, maybe twice on a drunk night.” She also mentions that she had initially downplayed her relationship with Lanez, emphasizing that it was a “drunk night” situation.
Meanwhile, in a related development, Lanez has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The judge handed down the sentence after hearing testimony that Lanez told Megan to “Dance, b*tch” while shooting at her. This came after he was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered gun.
The prosecutor requested a 13-year sentence, citing the emotional and physical harm inflicted on Megan. Lanez’s legal team, on the other hand, pleaded for a sentence of three years in prison or probation, along with treatment for his alcoholism.
During the sentencing hearing, Judge David Herriford mentioned receiving over 70 letters, including those from Lanez’s famous friends. One notable letter was from singer-songwriter Iggy Azalea, who asked for a sentence that would be “transformational, not life-destroying.”
