Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa’s credibility runs out as PDP criticizes his inability to win trusts

Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa In Panic Mode, Couldn’t Convince People To Trust Him – PDP

Ondo PDP Slams Aiyedatiwa’s Election Tactics Ahead of 2024 Guber Election

Naijawebinfo reports that the Ondo State governorship election is scheduled for November 16, 2024.

The PDP claims that Aiyedatiwa’s actions are a clear indication of his lack of trust in his ability to win the election based on his performance and policies. Instead, the party alleges that he is using various strategies to manipulate the outcome of the election.

One of these strategies, according to the PDP, is the award of a ₦31 billion contract for the construction of a judicial complex in Akure, the state capital, allegedly awarded to the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The party also points to the promise of a ₦73,000 minimum wage and the appointment of over 400 aides, many of whom have not received their salaries since their appointment two months ago as further examples of Aiyedatiwa’s desperation.

In a statement released by the PDP’s Publicity Secretary in Ondo State, Kennedy Peretei, the party said, “Having failed to win over the people with his policies, Aiyedatiwa has resorted to desperate measures. And because these measures are not well-thought-out, they have fallen flat on their faces.”

The PDP also lashed out at Aiyedatiwa’s decision to appoint 416 political appointees, saying that this is a clear ploy to buy their loyalty and guarantee their support in the election. However, the party warned that these appointees have been left in the dark about their fate, having not received salaries for the month of October. “What is the guarantee that they will be paid after losing the election?” the PDP asked.

“It is surprising that after ten months in office, Aiyedatiwa is still relying on propaganda and lies to sell himself to the good people of Ondo State, as if they are blind and deaf,” the PDP added.
