Renowned Nollywood actress, May Edochie, has revealed the reasons behind her refusal of lucrative movie roles, even when they are presented to her on a silver platter. In an exclusive interview, May Edochie shared her thoughts on her career choices and the types of projects she is selective about taking on.
May Edochie made her Nollywood debut in the recently released film “Uprising,” directed by Omoni Oboli, marking a significant milestone in her career. Although she had received several offers from prominent filmmakers, she turned them down, citing her desire to maintain control over her work and ensure that each project aligns with her artistic vision.
Describing herself as a “master of all trades,” May Edochie emphasized her ability to handle diverse tasks and projects, which enables her to be picky about the roles she accepts. She revealed that she almost declined Omoni Oboli’s offer for “Uprising” before eventually joining the production.
“For the past two years, I’ve received scripts, movie roles, and mouth-watering offers, but I rejected everything,” May Edochie stated. “I’m a master of all trades, and there’s a whole lot I can do if I put my mind to it.”
