‘Nobody Has Come Out Yet As Victim Of Gay Molestation’- RCCG Pastor, Akande

Redeemed Christian Church of God Launches Investigation into Sodomy Allegations Against Youth Pastors

The leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has responded swiftly to allegations of sodomy involving two of its youth pastors, assuring that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness.

According to Pastor Sunday Akande, the National Overseas of RCCG, the church is determined to get to the bottom of the matter and will not tolerate any behavior that falls short of its moral standards.

Responding to the allegations, Akande emphasized the importance of an unfettered investigation, stating that the outcome will guide the next steps the church takes in addressing the situation.

A controversial blog, Gistlovers, had recently accused the two youth pastors of allegedly seducing teenage boys into same-sex relationships, and the church has since suspended them pending the outcome of the investigation.

The blog also alleged that the youth pastors, in their capacity as leaders, used their positions to negatively influence the lives of teenagers under their care.

One of the accused has vehemently denied the allegations, stating that he has never engaged in any inappropriate behavior with a male teenager and that he has never demanded sex as payment for assistance, platforms, or positions.

He explained that he had conversations with the teenagers in a WhatsApp group where discussions focused on male reproductive health and self-esteem, and that his goal was to educate them on proper hygiene and self-confidence.

The church’s decision to suspend the two men at the center of the controversy is seen as a proactive step towards addressing the allegations and promoting a safe and healthy environment for all its members.
