APC Accuses Oyo Governor of Unjustified Attacks on Ruling Party and Administration
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fired back at Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, accusing him of launching unguarded and unjustified attacks on the ruling party and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, Makinde’s recent outbursts are a manifestation of his desperate bid to gain relevance in the 2027 presidential election.
While Makinde has claimed that the 2027 presidential election will be between Nigerians and the ruling party, Morka counters that the Oyo State Governor is merely trying to promote his own political ambition, rather than focusing on his responsibilities as Governor.
The APC spokesperson maintained that Makinde’s performance as Governor has left much to be desired, and that his lack of effectiveness in addressing local issues in Oyo State has led him to squander the state’s resources and attention on his presidential ambition.
Morka emphasized that the APC administration has successfully implemented policies that have led to a robust economy, social security programs, and infrastructure development, making Nigeria a leader in the global economy.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to stand firm in support of President Tinubu’s administration, which is committed to transforming the country and ensuring the prosperity of all Nigerians.
The APDifficult to see how Makinde’s governance style can lead to the successful development of Oyo State and the country as a whole, given his lack of achievements and pecuniary focus on his 2027 ambition.
