Nigerian Actor Takes on Lagos Governor and FCT Minister over Poor Road Conditions and Land Grabbing Allegations
Nollywood actor and skit maker, Adebowale Adedayo, better known as Mr. Macaroni, has lashed out at Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the deplorable state of roads in the state. He has also called out the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his recent remarks about residents of the Lugbe area.
In a post on social media, Mr. Macaroni accused the Lagos State government of putting the lives of its citizens in danger by failing to maintain the roads, which are riddled with potholes that can cause accidents leading to loss of lives and properties.
He challenged Sanwo-Olu to take a drive around the city to see the condition of the roads and explain why the government is “risking the lives of Lagosians.” Mr. Macaroni urged the Governor to “do better” in addressing the issue.
This is not the first time Mr. Macaroni has spoken out against the government. He recently criticized Wike for his harsh words towards residents of the Lugbe area, who are accused of land grabbing.
Wike had visited the area after reports of protests by residents who were trying to stop the demolition of their properties. The Minister was visibly angry and lectured the residents on the proper procedure for acquiring land legally.
However, the residents protested Wike’s assertions, claiming they had legal documents proving their ownership of the land. They rejected Wike’s claims that every land in the FCT belongs to the government and that he should not question their sanity.
Mr. Macaroni took to his social media page to urge Wike to address Nigerians with humility and respect, as they pay his salary. He also cautioned Wike against questioning the sanity of Nigerians, adding that the former governor is not doing anyone a favor by being a Minister.
