Corrupt APC leaders embezzle funds to finance lavish lifestyles

APC Leaders Looting Nation’s Treasury To Fund Luxury Appetite – PDP

PDP Accuses APC of Looting Treasury to Fund Elite Lifestyle

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has fired back at the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing its leaders of embezzling the nation’s treasury to fund their luxurious lifestyle.

This reaction comes after the APC’s national spokesperson, Felix Morka, criticized Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, claiming he was too busy indulging in reckless extravagance, neglecting his official responsibilities.

Morka also called on PDP members to take responsibility for their party’s internal struggles and decay. However, this outburst only served to expose the APC’s deep-seated concerns about its own impending downfall, according to the PDP.

PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba responded to Morka’s remarks, stating that the APC’s attack on Makinde confirms that the party is panicking due to its own failures in governance. Ologunagba argued that the APC is struggling to come to terms with its own incompetence and that it has resorted to manipulating data, politicking, and personal attacks on outspoken individuals amidst Nigeria’s worsening insecurity and economic crisis.

Ologunagba added that the APC’s incompetence has led to a country on the brink of catastrophic levels of suffering, with widespread poverty, hunger, and economic devastation. In response, the PDP and Nigerians will send the APC into political oblivion in just over two years.

The PDP spokesperson emphasized that Governor Makinde remains a respected and effective leader, both in his home state of Oyo and within the party, as he continues to prioritize the needs of the people and work alongside other PDP governors for progress and democracy.

Furthermore, the party pointed out that it is a travesty that in the face of acknowledged hardship and despair, funding his extravagant lifestyle, APC leaders are caught looting the national treasury. Ologunagba concluded that this is not surprising, given the party’s desperate attempts to cling to power, including manipulating data, politicizing issues, and launching personal attacks on outspoken individuals as they desperately try to cling to relevance ahead of the 2027 elections.

The PDP warned that the APC’s attacks would ultimately be ineffective, as the party’s record of failure in governance is there for all to see. As the PDP and Nigerians continue to work together for a better future, the APC’s short tenure is drawing to a close.
