PDP’s Biggest Challenge: Internal Power Strife Persists

“Atiku Not Involved In PDP Crisis’ – Aide Claims

According to Osadolor, Atiku’s leadership shortcomings have resulted in a party that is fractured and struggling tofind a cohesive direction.

He emphasizes that while Nyesom Wike may be perceived as the problem, it is actually Atiku who is the larger and more experienced politician. As such, he should be taking a more proactive leadership role, providing direction for Wike and other party members. However, Osadolor argues that Atiku’s lack of effective leadership has led to infighting and division within the party.

“Rightly or wrongly, people may view Nyesom Wike as the main issue, but the real problem is Atiku Abubakar,” Osadolor declares. “Between Atiku and Wike, Atiku is the bigger man and more experienced politician. Naturally, he should be providing leadership for Wike and the rest of us in the PDP. But does he even ask himself if he is providing that leadership?”

Osadolor encourages Atiku to recognize the need for a more inclusive approach, stating, “One tree does not make a forest. You cannot have your people, and I have my people, and expect us to win elections. Politics is about unity and cooperation, and Atiku needs to acknowledge that.”

He suggests that the party needs a candidate who can bring people together and foster a sense of unity among party members. Osadolor sees potential in Governor Seyi Makinde from the South and former President Jonathan, who could potentially run as a unifying figure and increase the party’s chances of success.

Ultimately, Osadolor believes that the party’s next leader should not be limited by geographical considerations, but rather by their ability to bring together diverse groups and foster a unified front for the party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
