In other news, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, the founder and Life Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has announced that the party’s Board of Trustees will convene on November 8, 2024, to deliberate on a recent court ruling that mandates the board to take control of the party’s management.
The court ruling, which was handed down by an Abia High Court, directs the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to transfer NNPP’s management and administration to Aniebonam’s BoT. This development is expected to bring about a significant shift in the party’s leadership structure, placing Aniebonam and his team in charge of strategic decisions.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, Aniebonam expressed the board’s commitment to abide by the “compelling order” of the court and emphasized the importance of the upcoming meeting in shaping the future direction of the NNPP and ensuring compliance with the court’s ruling.
