A decree issued on November 4, No. 118/2024, confirmed the decision, citing Engonga’s alleged professional misconduct and personal behavior deemed incompatible with his public position.

First Lady Constancia Mangue Obiang, who met with Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue, publicly expressed her disapproval of the incidents and urged the government to take prompt action to safeguard the privacy and dignity of Equatoguinean women.
In a statement on her official Facebook page, the First Lady addressed the need for measures to protect women’s privacy and rights in the digital age, highlighting the importance of maintaining a respectful and secure environment for all women.
She emphasized the progress made by the government in promoting gender equality but noted that more work is needed to address the issues that compromise the dignity and safety of women in the country.
