Iyabo Ojo Refuses to Stop Supporting Omowunmi Until She’s Proven Guilty by the Law
Naijawebinfo recently reported on the passing of 27-year-old Nigerian musician, Mohbad, whose body was exhumed by the police for an autopsy following his burial on September 13.
The circumstances surrounding his death have sparked a flurry of controversies, with many questioning the involvement of his wife, Omowunmi.
During an Instagram live session, Iyabo Ojo emphasized the importance of awaiting legal proceedings and not jumping to conclusions on social media. The Nollywood actress urged critics to provide concrete evidence to the authorities rather than speculating about Omowunmi’s guilt.
“Until the law finds her guilty, with concrete evidence that she’s guilty, I’ll continue to support her,” Iyabo Ojo stated.
The actress expressed her concerns about using social media to destroy someone’s life and cause unnecessary emotional trauma. She also emphasized the need for everyone claiming to have evidence to take it to the authorities, rather than spreading unfounded rumors.
“If they want to curse me or attack me, that’s their prerogative, but I won’t stop being kind to Omowunmi until the law has spoken,” she said. “I have to consider the emotional well-being of her child and the impact of false accusations on innocent people.”
