Evangelist Mike Bamiloye Laments Christian Division over Donald Trump’s Presidency
Nigerian gospel film industry pioneer and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has expressed disappointment over the apparent division among Christians in the United States regarding their support for President-elect Donald Trump.
In a recent social media post, Bamiloye questioned the reasons behind the seeming divisions, sharing a video clip of Trump’s remarks on moral values and his devotion to Christ.
Bamiloye, known for his faith-based films and messages, criticized Christians who were torn between political parties, highlighting the contrast between the policies of Trump’s party and those of the opposition on issues like abortion, same-sex marriage, and gender identity.
He asked, “What’s confusing about the options?” suggesting that Christian principles should guide their decisions. Bamiloye expressed shock at the skepticism surrounding Trump’s Christian values, stating that he had expected more unity among believers.
Bamiloye was thrilled by Trump’s statements, writing, “I Seriously Love This!” and emphasizing that he was shocked to see Christians questioning the sincerity of Trump’s Christian convictions.
In the viral clip, Trump acknowledged the need for salvation, stating, “Our country needs a saviour, and our country has a saviour, and that’s not me. There is someone much higher than me, and that is Jesus.” He went on to emphasize Jesus’ significance in American history and the world at large.
Meanwhile, the post has garnered a mix of reactions online, with some individuals echoing Bamiloye’s sentiments and others expressing opposing views.
