The Passing of a Respected Community Leader: Suleiman Sambo
Naijawebinfo has learned that Suleiman Sambo, the elder brother of former Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has left this mortal realm at the ripe age of 82 after a prolonged illness.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and a large family, including his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren, to mourn his passing.
Suleiman’s career was marked by his dedicated service to the Department of Government Printing within the Ministry of Information and Home Affairs, Kaduna State. He retired as a Chief Superintendent in 1994 after 35 years of unwavering commitment to his work.
A devout community and religious leader, Suleiman was remembered for his tireless efforts to promote peace and religious tolerance during his lifetime. His funeral, held at the Bashama Road Cemetery, was attended by a gathering of family members, relatives, and sympathizers, including former Vice President Namadi Sambo, as well as religious and traditional leaders.
The Chief Imam of Kaduna Polytechnic Central Mosque, Ustaz Sadiq Yusuf, led the funeral rites, urging Muslims to commit themselves to the worship of Allah and to make a positive impact in their communities. He also remembered Suleiman for his dedication to peacebuilding and his tireless efforts to promote unity among people of different faiths.
