Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Expressed Confidence in PDP’s Mandate Reclaim Efforts

In a move to strengthen the party’s stance, Obaseki urged unity and cohesion among party leaders and stakeholders as they pursue their stolen mandate through the judicial process.

The Edo State chapter of the PDP inaugurated a caretaker committee to oversee party affairs until new executives are elected. The committee is chaired by Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, with Hon. Henry Duke Tenebe serving as Secretary.

Other members of the committee include Harrison Omagbon, Fidel Igenegbale, Chris Nehikhare, Tony Anenih Jnr, Archbishop Anthony Okosun, Segun Saiki, Adezat Ibrahim, and Augustine Edosomwan.

Addressing party leaders and stakeholders, Obaseki emphasized the importance of working together to reclaim the mandate. He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to recover the stolen mandate, citing evidence of the election’s irregularities.

Obaseki stressed that the party must be united and focused on its goal, despite the opposition’s attempts to confuse the people. He urged the party to maintain open communication with its members and stay informed about the ongoing court proceedings.

The governor also highlighted the importance of adhering to democratic procedures and the need for the party to maintain harmony. He warned against the APC’s attempts to undermine the party’s efforts and urged the people to remain vigilant and informed throughout the process.

Obaseki reiterated that the party’s fight is not just about the candidate, but about upholding democracy in Nigeria. He assured the people that he will remain committed to the party’s cause, providing guidance and support until the mandate is recovered.
