Peter Obi has expressed his deepest condolences to the government of Nigeria and the Nigerian Army over the death of Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff. This heartfelt message comes after news broke of Lagbaja’s passing at the age of 56.

In related news, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu confirmed the news of Lagbaja’s passing on Wednesday, which was announced by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to Onanuga, Lagbaja had been ill for a period before passing away on Tuesday night in Lagos.
