Violence erupts in Lagos: Police respond after dogs maul security guard to death

Police React As Dogs ‘Kill’ Security Guard In Lagos

Arrest Made in Dog Attack that Killed Security Guard in Lekki

In a shocking turn of events, the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended the owner of the dogs implicated in the gruesome death of a security guard in Pinnock beach estate, Lekki.

The dramatic discovery was made public after a disturbing video circulated online showing three dogs roaming freely on the lifeless body of the security guard.

A concerned netizen shared the horrific experience, stating that the security guard was attacked and fatally injured by the dogs, which had escaped from their owner’s property.

The distraught individual wrote: “In Pinnock Estate, a security guard was mauled to death by dogs that belonged to someone! I can’t believe some Nigerians own guard dogs without proper training or expertise. I hope the guard’s family sues the dog owner for every single penny they possess in this life. It’s unimaginable that some dog owners have no idea how to handle their pets or invest in proper training.”

Authenticating the incident, the Lagos Police Command confirmed the arrest of the dog’s owner, who is currently in custody.

The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, corroborated the information on his social media page, releasing images of the relevant sections of the law on manslaughter.
