Newly Appointed Minister Pledges to Help APC Reclaim Kano State in 2027
In his first visit to Kano since his induction into the Federal Executive Council, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has declared his commitment to helping the All Progressives Congress (APC) reclaim the state in the 2027 elections.
During an interaction with journalists, Ata emphasized that his appointment was primarily for political reasons, with the goal of turning the tide in Kano State’s favor. He noted that the APC had lost the state, but was determined to regain control.
Ata stressed the importance of grassroots engagement, stating that even as a minister, he would remain actively involved in his ward and work tirelessly to ensure the APC’s victory in Kano State by 2027.
Although he acknowledged that he would fulfill his responsibilities at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Ata’s focus remained firmly on the political landscape in Kano. He revealed plans to visit the state weekly to support efforts aimed at securing the state for the APC.
Ata expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, describing it as an opportunity not only for himself, but for the people of Kano and Nigeria as a whole. He pledged to the President that Kano would be won back by the APC in 2027, stating confidently, “This is my assurance to the President.”
