Ondo 2024: APC Fixes Date For Final Governorship Election Campaign

All Progressives Congress (APC) Announces Final Campaign Rally for Ondo State Governorship Election

A statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has confirmed that the APC will hold its campaign grand finale for the upcoming Ondo State governorship election on Wednesday.

The election, scheduled to take place on November 16th, 2024, has gained significant attention, with at least eight smaller political parties reportedly set to form alliances with the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to multiple sources, the leadership of these smaller parties has already reached agreements with the larger parties, instructing their supporters to vote for either the APC or PDP candidate.

The campaign grand finale is set to take place at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park in Akure, Ondo State, at 10 am, and is expected to draw a large crowd.

Several sources close to the parties have confirmed that formal announcements of the alliances are expected within the next 72 hours. Party leaders are already mobilizing their supporters in preparation for election day.

A source within the APC revealed that around five governorship candidates would be leaving their parties to join the ruling party in the coming days. “The terms of their agreements are not yet public, but it’s clear that some candidates will be stepping down for either Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa or Agboola Ajayi,” the source said.

This development is expected to have a significant impact on the outcome of the election, with the APC and PDP likely to benefit from the alliances.
