Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Urges PDP Members in Ondo State to Rally Behind Party’s Governorship Candidate
In a statement released on Tuesday, Atiku praised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, as a seasoned politician capable of delivering victory and improving the lives of the people of the state.
He sees the election as an opportunity for the people of Ondo State to upgrade their state’s prosperity, emphasizing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is an unpopular party that doesn’t prioritize the people’s interests.
Atiku believes that the people of Ondo State have a chance to send a strong message to the APC through Hon. Ajayi, and as party leaders, they will provide necessary support to ensure the APC is not allowed to suppress the will of the electorate.
He also warned election management officials and volunteers that the PDP will not tolerate any malpractice in the election.
Atiku urged the people of Ondo State to turn out in large numbers to vote and ensure their votes count, saying that when the people come out in force, it’s too big for rigging to succeed. He appealed to the people’s known forthrightness and eternal vigilance in this election.
