Edo’s Immediate-past Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu Pays Farewell Visit to Successor Dennis Idahosa
Philip Shaibu, the recently departed Deputy Governor of Edo State, concluded his tenure with a cordial meeting with his successor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, at the State Government House.
The two dignitaries formalized the transfer of power, marking a significant milestone in Shaibu’s departure from the position. Notably, his tenure was marked by a public rift with former Governor Godwin Obaseki.
In a symbolic gesture, Shaibu took Idahosa on a tour of the Deputy Governor’s Office, providing a hands-on introduction to the duties and responsibilities of the new holder of the office.
It is worth recalling that Dennis Idahosa, a seasoned politician with a background in the House of Representatives, was sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Edo State earlier today.
