Dare Melody Opens Up About the Heartbreaking Struggles His Late Wife, Adedoyin, Faced at the Hands of His Family
Naijawebinfo recently reported the passing of Adedoyin, Dare Melody’s wife, at the age of 47 in October.
In a moving video that has gone viral, Melody shared his story of how his family members treated his wife poorly, despite her unwavering support during his career setbacks.
Adedoyin was a constant source of encouragement for Melody, particularly during a difficult period when a music promoter blacklisted him for four years.
As a token of gratitude for her loyalty, Melody built a house for Adedoyin, a testament to her enduring impact on his life.
In the video, Melody reflected on the challenges his family posed to his wife, saying, “My family frustrated Adedoyin, and I would hold her and tell her, ‘Adedoyin, I am the one you married, and whenever you see me, put your mind at rest.’ She was always there for me, no matter what.”
He also shared a poignant memory of a particularly tough time when a music promoter banned his songs from being played on the radio or printed for almost four years. Despite this setback, Adedoyin remained steadfast in her support, and Melody credits her with helping him through that difficult period.
He recalled a New Year’s celebration when he and his wife shared a humble meal of biscuits with their one-year-old daughter, and he prayed to God to prove His presence in his life. Shortly after, Melody released a record called “Goodness and Mercy” in 2010, which revived his career and opened doors for him.
With his newfound success, Melody built a house for Adedoyin, a symbol of his appreciation for her unwavering loyalty and support. A friend even offered to help him build the house, saying, “This woman stood by you, let’s build a house for her,” and Melody replied, “Everything I have is for her.”
