Lately, music industry leader Don Jazzy added his voice to the discussion, stating that DNA tests should take precedence. Big Brother Naija’s Phyna has echoed Don Jazzy’s sentiment, urging the Nigerian government to make DNA testing mandatory immediately after childbirth.
In her tweet, Phyna passionately supported the idea of mandatory DNA testing, stating it’s essential for the good of society. She expressed the need for a prompt test to establish paternity, saying, “Compulsory DNA test now. Immediately after birth.” Naming ceremonies should take a backseat in this debate, according to Phyna, as they can often lead to disputes and family complications.
This isn’t the only recent controversy involving Phyna, as she has publicly accused a police officer of theft. According to reports from Naijawebinfo, Phyna claimed to have lost N3,000 from her pigeonhole while being stopped by officers for a search in Lagos.
In a social media post, Phyna described the money going missing after the officers stopped her car, refuting claims that she might have given it to them willingly. She is pressing the authorities to investigate and identify the culprit.
