‘Call Us Childish But I Will Fight Till The End’ – Peter Okoye Speaks On Paul’s Allegation Of Song Theft

Mr. P, the Nigerian singer formerly known as Peter Okoye, has addressed the allegations of song theft levelled against him by his twin brother, Rude Boy (Paul Okoye).

Naijawebinfo reports that the feud began when Peter announced the release of his new single, “Winning,” which Paul claims he wrote and was scheduled for release in June 2025.

According to Paul, the brothers had agreed to collaborate on six songs for an album before their recent parting of ways. He alleged that Peter had secretly released one of his own songs, with the support of his management.

Paul’s post on Instagram was filled with anger, with him calling his brother “Oloriburuku.” However, Peter responded on the same platform, denying the allegations and claiming that the song was written in collaboration with the producer, @calypso60music.

In his post, Peter acknowledged that his brother and older brother, Jude, were trying to take down the song from music platforms, but he vowed to fight until the end to protect his work.

He wrote: “Call us names, call us childish; it’s fine. I understand, but if anyone says something false about me and I have evidence, then I have the right to defend myself. Let’s stay WINNING.”

He also thanked his fans for their support and praised the production team behind the song. In a veiled dig at his brother, he asked how Paul could claim to have written the song when he didn’t know the producer. He ended his post by reaffirming his commitment to his music and his fans.
