“Wike Declares Rivers PDP Unity Despite Governor Fubara Feud”

Wike Insists PDP Is United In Rivers Despite Rift With Governor Fubara

Rivers State’s PDP Remains United, Says FCT Minister Nyesom Wike

Despite the ongoing crisis between him and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, FCT Minister and former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has reiterated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains united in the state.

In a media briefing with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike emphasized that party members should put aside their differences and work together towards a common goal.

Wike pointed to the success of the PDP’s recent ward and local government congresses, which he described as a testament to the party’s unity.

The comments come at a time when tensions are running high in Rivers State, with Wike’s loyalists in the state legislature frequently clashing with Governor Fubara over legislative decisions.

The power struggle between the two leaders has been ongoing since Fubara took office in May 2023, with Wike’s loyalists even attempting to impeach him last year.

As the FCT Minister, Wike urged party leaders who have faced electoral losses to put aside their grievances and work towards the PDP’s unity and growth.
