Mike Bamiloye Reveals Discussion With Korede Are, ‘Baba Gbenro’ Before He Died

Moses Korede Are, Popular Gospel Film Actor and Producer, Passes Away

Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, the president of Mount Zion Film Ministries, has confirmed the passing of Moses Korede Are, a renowned gospel film actor and producer, also known as Baba Gbenro in the Mount Zion series, ‘Abattoir.’

Bamiloye shared the news on his official Facebook account, describing Are as a hardworking, humble, and dedicated individual who has left an indelible mark in the gospel film industry.

According to Bamiloye, Are’s sudden death serves as a poignant reminder that no one knows when their time will come. He shared a personal account of their last conversation, during which Are expressed his desire to continue working despite his illness.

Bamiloye emphasized that everyone’s “closing time” is different, and only Jesus Christ, their Employer, knows when to call them home. He recounted how Are’s sudden passing was a surprise to those around him, including the film crew on location at the time.

Bamiloye drew a valuable lesson from Are’s passing, encouraging everyone to reflect on their own mortality and the certainty of their own “closing time.” He described Are as a highly dedicated man of God, who had finished his portion of work and was now resting with his Master.

Despite Are’s passing, Bamiloye viewed it as a gain for heaven, where Are has now met his Master and is enjoying eternal rest. He concluded by expressing his gratitude and celebrating Are’s life with a heartfelt “Halleluyah.”
