Vice President Kashim Shettima has thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, calling on the people of the state to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.

Speaking at an APC governorship campaign rally in Akure, Ondo State, Shettima emphasized that President Bola Tinubu has endorsed Aiyedatiwa and is fully behind his re-election bid.

According to Shettima, Aiyedatiwa is not just campaigning to hold onto a position, but to bring hope, prosperity, and unity to every corner of Ondo State. He assured that the APC candidate has the experience, compassion, and strength to lead the state towards greatness.

“This election is not just about choosing between two candidates, but about choosing between progress and stagnation, unity and division,” Shettima said. “It’s a chance to stand with a party that has consistently delivered and with a leader who truly understands the heartbeat of Ondo State.” He urged voters to remember what they deserve and to vote for a governor who can deliver prosperity and unity to the state.

Shettima also conveyed President Tinubu’s support for Aiyedatiwa, saying that the President is fully in support of the Governor’s re-election bid. He explained that President Tinubu is currently engaged in securing critical development and investment opportunities for the nation, but is with the people of Ondo State in spirit.

The Vice President also stressed that only the APC offers practical solutions to the state’s economic problems. He highlighted the party’s achievements in strengthening the economy and urged voters to consider the real solutions the APC offers to make the state a better place.

Earlier, Governor Aiyedatiwa had urged the people of Ondo State to vote for the APC in the upcoming governorship election.
