APC and PDP Give Thumbs Up to INEC Election Preparations
Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have expressed overall satisfaction with the preparations for Saturday’s election, declaring that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has done a commendable job.
Representatives of both parties in Owo local government area praised INEC’s transparency and openness, particularly in the distribution of materials ahead of the vote.
Both parties expressed confidence that the election would proceed smoothly and fairly, enabling voters to make informed choices.
A PDP agent, Dotun Ogunbodede, emphasized their hopes for a free and transparent process, saying, “With our preparation and established relationships with the electorate, we’re confident of making a strong showing. We won’t tolerate any efforts to manipulate the outcome by exploiting the power of incumbency.”
Meanwhile, the party’s governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, urged citizens to have faith in him and grant him their votes.
On his part, the APC agent, Olalekan, praised the distribution of election materials, predicting a “peaceful election” where APC would emerge victorious. The party’s governorship candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, implored voters to back him in the election, promising to serve them wholeheartedly.
