Labour Party Youth Leader in Ondo State Rejects ₦100 Million Bribe to Defect to PDP
Samuel Boniface, the youth leader of the Labour Party (LP) in Ondo State, has revealed that he was approached by prominent figures in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a ₦100 million offer to defect to their party ahead of the upcoming election.
In an exclusive interview with DAILY POST, Boniface stated that he refused the substantial offer, citing his commitment to his principles and refusal to betray his party. He emphasized that he would not compromise his values for personal gain.
According to Boniface, the PDP stakeholders attempted to persuade him to collapse the LP structure into their party, but he declined, stating that he had a goal and a future to consider. He also reassured his followers and party members that he would never betray them.
Boniface further expressed his confidence that the LP would not be swayed by the PDP’s attempts to buy the party’s structure. He believes that the people are tired of both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP and are looking for a change.
In related news, Boniface rejected recent media reports claiming that LP candidate Olusola Ebiseni had been disqualified by the Appeal Court. He revealed that the party had already settled the matter out of court and that the reports were nothing but big lies.
The party plans to take legal action against media outlets that circulated the disqualification rumors. Boniface stated that the party will sue the newspapers that reported the false information, citing the INEC portal as evidence that Ebiseni is still a valid candidate.
Boniface also clarified that Festus Olorunfemi, who initially raised concerns, had formally stepped down for Ebiseni and received compensation from both Ebiseni and the National Chairman, with records and receipts to prove these transactions.
In conclusion, Boniface assured supporters that everything is intact and that the party is not distracted by the misleading news. He urged supporters to remain focused and committed to the party’s goals.
