Nollywood actor Ugezu Jideofor Ugezu’s candid thoughts on Nigerian politicians
A recent post on his Instagram page has shed light on the filmmaker’s candid thoughts on Nigerian politicians, sparking interesting discussions among netizens.
Ugezu shared his observations, questioning the peculiar pattern of politicians speaking the truth about national issues only after leaving office. He expressed his frustration at not understanding why this trend persists, wondering if there are unseen forces that affect their judgment once they’re sworn into office.
In his post, he posed a thought-provoking question, saying, “What’s behind the phenomenon in Nigerian politics where politicians only start speaking sense once they leave office? Is it that there’s some kind of demon at play that blinds them when they take office? Only sincerity in administration can save Nigeria from its current mess.”
Ugezu has been vocal about his concerns in the political sphere. He recently spoke out against the sack of Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, by President Bola Tinubu.
Naijawebinfo recalls that Kennedy-Ohanenye’s appointment was terminated on October 23, along with five other ministers in the president’s cabinet.
In his Instagram post, Ugezu expressed disappointment over Kennedy-Ohanenye’s dismissal, stating that she had been working tirelessly to bring hope to citizens under the Tinubu administration.
He feared that her sack would deter those genuinely committed to transforming the country by reforming various departments.
