New Violence in Ondo: Six PDP members in Hospital After Attack Ahead of Gubernatorial Elections
An alarming level of violence erupted in Idanre Local Government Area, Ondo State on Wednesday, two days prior to the crucial gubernatorial elections. Reports indicate that armed assailants launched an assault on no fewer than six individuals affiliated with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). These injured persons are currently receiving hospital care.
Confirming this account, Kennedy Peretei, spokesperson for PDP, stated that despite occurring during a political rally in the historic town of Idanre, PDP members fell victim to these unprovoked assaults, resulting in the dire situations faced by these now hospitalised party affiliates.
