Renowned Igbo Gospel Singer Jude Nnam, Known as ‘Ancestor,’ Falls Victim to Kidnapping

Naijawebinfo has obtained information that Jude Nnam, a celebrated gospel singer and prominent figure in Nigeria’s Christian community, was abducted on Thursday evening in Umunnachi, Anambra State.

Nnam, who serves as the National Music Director for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and a member of the National Liturgical Commission, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), was in Anambra for a church event when the incident occurred.

The news of Nnam’s kidnapping was shared on social media by Rev Fr Augustine Mario, a Catholic priest, who implored the public to pray for the safe release of the abducted musician.

In his Facebook post, Mario wrote: “I kindly request that you all keep Sir Dr. Jude Nnam (Ancestor) in your prayers. He was allegedly kidnapped yesterday evening around 6 p.m. in Umunnachi, Anambra State. Sir Jude Nnam is the CAN National Music Director and Member of the National Liturgical Commission, CSN, and I pray that God will grant him safety and a quick release from his captors.”

Another Catholic priest also confirmed the incident, expressing frustration and sadness at the situation, saying: “If this is true, then it’s a huge shame. I’m simply tired of this unfortunate space called Nigeria. Why must we endure such pain and frustration now? I hope this isn’t true. Jude Nnam Ancestor! May God be with him.”
