Nigerian authorities accused of rights abuses by Bobrisky

Bobrisky To Face Fresh Criminal Charges As Panel Indicts Four Prison Officers

Nigerian Crossdresser, Bobrisky, Accuses EFCC and Security Agencies of Human Rights Violations

Naijawebinfo reports that Bobrisky, a popular Nigerian crossdresser, has shared a legal suit on his Instagram page, praying for the court to restrain the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other security agencies from infringing on his fundamental rights.

Bobrisky, who filed the petition through his lawyer, is seeking a court order to prevent the EFCC and other agencies from harassing, arresting, detaining, or declaring him wanted. Despite filing the petition, Bobrisky claims that the EFCC violently assaulted him and pulled him out of a plane that was about to take off, which is a clear violation of his human rights.

Bobrisky wants the world to be aware of the security agencies’ actions in Nigeria and is calling for international scrutiny. He believes that these agencies are habitual violators of human rights and act above the law.

In a heartfelt post, Bobrisky wrote, “Despite earlier filing this fundamental rights case, the EFCC and other security agencies in Nigeria still violently assaulted and harassed me, pulling me off a plane that was taking off. It’s a shame that the EFCC doesn’t respect the court, and neither do these agencies. They act as if they are above the law, which they are supposed to protect and enforce.”
