Today marks the day when Ondo state residents will head to the polls to decide between the ruling All Progressives Congress’s Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his challengers from other political parties.

A significant proportion of the state’s eligible voters have already collected their Permanent Voter Cards. In total, 1,793,914 electorates have received their cards out of the 2,053,061 registered voters in the state.
Interestingly, the number of registered voters in Ondo state has increased since the 2020 governorship election. In fact, an additional 58,708 new voters have been added to the electoral roll. Meanwhile, 3,132 voters have transferred their registration to or within Ondo state.
