Award-winning actress Wumi Toriola has been crowned the 2024 Box Office Champion by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
Wumi took to social media to share the exciting news, expressing her gratitude by dedicating the award to her loyal supporters.
In her post, she wrote: “We did it! We’ve won the award for Box Office Champion 2024. Thank you to the NFVCB for this incredible recognition.”
This achievement is just the latest in a string of successes for Wumi, who made her cinema debut in September with her movie Queen Lateefah.
Earlier this year, Wumi made headlines when she revealed her plans to reconcile with her ex-husband. The couple’s tumultuous relationship had made headlines in 2023, with Wumi alleging that she had left the marriage due to domestic violence and abuse.
Her ex-husband, however, had accused Wumi of physical abuse, claiming that she had assaulted his mother during their marriage.
In a recent interview on the Goldroom talk show, Wumi opened up about her decision to reconcile with her ex-husband. She explained that she wants to have more children with one man, and that her desire to do so is driving her desire to reconcile.
Wumi said: “I want to have more kids, at least two more kids. The decision is going over the love life and things we shared in the past. I want to reconcile with my ex-husband because I want to have all my children for one man.”
