Comedian Seyi Law Casts His Vote in Ondo State Governorship Election
Naijawebinfo reports that senior special assistant in entertainment and tourism to Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Seyi Law, exercised his democratic right on Saturday at Polling Unit 5 in the Obenla community of Ilaje Local Government Area.
Aiyedatiwa, the APC flagbearer, is contesting in the November 16 governorship election against Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party and Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party. The stakes are high as the ruling party seeks to retain control of the state.
Speaking with journalists, Seyi Law expressed confidence in his principal’s chances of winning the election. “The poll has been very peaceful so far,” he said, praising the timely accreditation of voters and high turnout of voters at his polling station.
Citing the atmosphere at the polling unit, Seyi Law believes that the vast majority of voters are rallying behind Aiyedatiwa, who he described as “worthy of continuing as the governor of Ondo State.”
“I can already tell that this is a clean sweep,” Seyi Law said, referring to the voting at his polling unit. “The way things are going, the people are casting their votes for the right candidate.” He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to cast his own vote, noting that he was proud to be an active participant in the electoral process.
